As I mentioned in my last post, digital advertising likes to claim it is more accountable. It is not. There are plenty of shady practices in the online ad marketplace — fraud and smoke and mirrors – and there is plenty of evidence that much of online ad money is going to waste, as “bots” acting as real people dupe the system and questions remain on the extent to which ads are “viewable” on users’ screens.

Still, I am a big believer in digital, especially native ads and online video and pre-roll (video you see before you watch a favorite video clip). My cooperative ads campaign, especially CraterLakeCountry.com, has seen dramatic growth this summer using these tools.
