Yes, if you are trying to market to America’s teenager today, a new Pew Research report shows that 73% of teens have or have access to a smartphone; 91% of teens go online using a mobile device, and 24% of teens say they go online “almost constantly.”

Wow, going online almost constantly, name me another media that can make that usage statement with a specific age segment? I don’t think it exists. If you are not using mobile ads to sell to teens, you are missing the boat.

The Pew study also reveals that Facebook is still the “go to” social media with 71% of all teens reporting use of the platform. Instagram and Snapchat are also popular with teens, especially girls. 61% of girls use Instagram compared with 44% of boys, and 51% of girls use Snapchat, compared with 31% of boys.
