While it was great to see all the people enjoying downtown Medford this weekend (the Medford Cruise and the Craft Brewing Festival), seeing the new Metro Medford TV spot was even better.

In my May 28th post I encouraged the Heart of Medford to promote their new brand Metro Medford, a brand they created nine  months ago. Although I don’t love the brand strategy, I stated that it could be success if they spend a ton of money to promote it, and that promotion is the “final development needed in downtown Medford.” Well, I’m sure my blog had nothing to do with it, but it was great to see Metro Medford’s new TV commercials! Good start.

Now, let’s keep working on getting everyone on the same page, especially Travel Medford that has some real money for promotion due to the city’s occupancy tax.
