Summer is a great time to catch up on your reading. If you’re looking for a good book, here’s a link to the best-selling business books,  http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-books/hardcover-business-books/list.html. This link will also lead you to best-seller lists for all books: fiction, ebooks, etc.

I’m reading two fun books right now, Private Games (James Patterson/Mark Sullivan) and Thinking Small (Andrea Hiott). I wish I had finished the Patterson book before the Olympics (as my wife urged me to do), since it deals with the London Olympics. Thinking Small is the story of the “People’s Car,” Volkswagen. It’s especially a fun read if you are a fan of Mad Men, AMC’s TV series of advertising agency life in the 50’s. Not only does it follow the story of VW since the 30s, it follows the life of William (Bill) Bernbach, who was one of the founders of the advertising agency Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB). His most notable campaign was for VW, which included ads such as “Think Small” and “Lemon”. I would recommend both books. Happy reading.
