Just a quick follow-up to my May 11th post about Dish offering a new ad-skipping DVR. Well, the battle has moved to the court room Dish sued the four major broadcast networks in federal court asking for a “declaratory judgment” that their new DVR doesn’t infringe copyright.

One major network, Fox, sued Dish saying that without commercials, the television business wouldn’t be viable. Like I said in my earlier blog, this is a game changer that is under the radar to most consumers, but not to any broadcast company that relies on commercials for revenue. Stay tuned, the fight is just getting interesting.
